about Better4Women

THE WORLD IS NOT YET BETTER FOR WOMEN.

The world is in crisis—wars, disasters, climate change, racism, and deep-rooted injustices. But one crisis remains urgent and unresolved: gender inequality.

not a single country has achieved gender equality.

women and girls are being left behind -

denied rights, opportunities, and safety.

According to The World Economic Forum Global Gender Gap Report 2024, at this rate, it will take more than 130 years to close the gender gap.

  • Women have less access to education and healthcare.

  • They carry the burden of unpaid care work and earn 20% less than men.

  • They are missing from leadership—just 24% of parliamentarians and only 13 world leaders are women.

  • 1 in 3 women will experience violence in their lifetime.

We cannot accept this.

A better world is possible. A better world for women is better for everyone.

  • "This week I had the honour to participate in the Women’s Economic Wmpoerment Webinar hosted by the fantastic Fundraising for the Girl Child. The webinar focused on the relationship between economic empowerment and women’s liberation, particularly in light of current world events. Whilst I found the webinar inspiring, one particular quote from Lina Abirafeh resonated with me: ‘To start where you stand.’ A reminder that the first step to empowering all women and young girls starts with actions of each of us in our every day lives."
